Zola's World Inc. Reflects on Biz Works Pitch Competition 2026
What an incredible journey it has been at the 2026 Biz Works Pitch competition! While we didn't walk away with the Judges' Choice or Crowd Choice Awards, we gained something far more valuable: affirmation that Zola's World Inc. is on the right path.
Our hearts are full from the overwhelming support and enthusiasm from the community. It's clear that there's a genuine eagerness for our product to roll out, and a deep understanding of the good we are striving to achieve. The individuals who approached us, offering encouragement, advisement, and unwavering support, truly made this experience amazing.
We believe that everything happens for a reason. Being in a unique position, one that those who are not deaf or hard-of-hearing cannot fully relate to, only strengthens our resolve. For the 34 million children who are unseen, unheard, and underrepresented in a world that often overlooks empathy, inclusion, and the profound impact of language deprivation, we must push harder than ever before.
We are immensely grateful for this experience. It has provided invaluable insights and clarified how we need to strategically advance our mission from this point forward. A huge thank you to everyone at Biz Works—the judges, our fellow contestants, and every single person who was "in the room yesterday." We know our paths will cross again.
